About Me

Hello! My name is Bill. I'm a graduate student with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB).  I'm a passionate video game developer looking to work as a software developer or game designer. I have designed 4 different games using Unity Engine to make them. 2 projects are my personal while the other 2 are team projects for class and for my college video game development club (VGDA), respectively.

Growing up as a kid, I've been exposed to many video games. Video games has not only been a hobby, but became something I wanted to do in the future. I dreamed of designing my own video games that not only I can enjoy, but everyone else that I want to share my own creation with. As I began my first year of college, I turned that dream into my passion and goal in life. At first, I wanted to do Graphic Designs, which is to design the game. However, I went to Computer Science since my peers have told me if I wanted to not only create the game, but want to bring it to life that I would enroll as a Computer Science student. I didn't like Computer Science at first because it was difficult to understand. I didn't find it interesting because all I did was just code and programming assignments and homework for class. I even asked myself if what I chose was really the correct path to my passion in video game developing. It dawned on me when I joined the Video Game Development Association (VGDA) at my college and learned the essentials of video game development. I found new experiences from team building to hands on video game development. From those skills I've obtain from the club, I began to work on my own projects during my holiday breaks from school. As the years went by, I started to get interested in Computer Science. In my one of my Computer Science class, I had the opportunity to create a top-down space shooter with my classmates as a class project for the semester. I continue to pursue that passion and work on my own game projects I made during my free time.
