About
PeaceMakers is one project that I am very passionate about. This was a final project for my Comic and Graphic Novel class at CSULB. After finishing the semester, I decided to continue with this project as my own personal one. PeaceMakers is a post-apocalyptic, martial arts story setting in the year 202X after a devastating Nuclear War that destroyed much of the earth. Ravaged by the untamed wastelands, there are no law and order. Gangs of killer bandits and power-hungry martial artists rule the desert wasteland. Preying on what's left of humanity calls for a legion of saviors. Answering their calls are the Masubi Clan, a group of peacemaking warriors and martial artists protecting humanity from the forces of evil. They will stop at nothing until justice can tame the wasteland. I was mostly inspired by the anime, Fist of the North Star being my favorite series, when making PeaceMakers. Fist of the North Star(北斗の拳 in Japanese) is manga that also sets in a post-apocalyptic world with the protagonist being a martial artist. The manga has heavy influenced from the Mad Max films, martial arts films(like Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury), and 80's pop culture. PeaceMakers also has influence from 80's pop culture and anime series that I was inspired by, such as Inuyasha and Sailor Moon. Being a big fan of martial arts and also took Taekwondo and Kendo as an extracurricular activities, I would implement fighting styles I learn from into my project. While this project is my first one in my path to video game development, I have worked on other game projects for my class and video game development club. Space Shooters is one game project I worked on for a class project and Skate Fast, Eat Tash is another one I worked with a group clubmates as a team in my video game club as a programmer(Gameplay). I am hoping to balance out my creation from my PeaceMakers project while developing other games outside of my sphere of interests.
